The first day at school for new pupils at the primary school was 29th February this year, after the enrolment of new admissions on 27th February. For other pupils & all the students at the secondary, the 2016 academic year began on 22nd February. By then the secondary school office had already been open for a month receiving applications from new students. We were happy to receive many applications, but sad that we had to turn some away – there were more applications than places available. This was also the case at the primary, and the School Management Committee had the difficult task of selecting the most needy pupils.

49 pupils were admitted at the primary and close to 150 at the secondary, although some didn’t turn up after admittance. Our current pupil numbers are 344 at primary and 348 at secondary, giving a total of 692 beneficiaries, just over 60% of which are girls.
